Students learned about Day of the Dead and Mexican art work. They first created a colored skull design. Students were then asked to create a watercolor painting of their own interpretation of a colorful Mexican Day of the Dead. Paintings focused on three watercolor techniques: wax resist, wet on wet and salt texture.
